Today is a little better.
Wednesday, August 15th, 2001Today is a little better. I had a very long conversation with a good friend who basically told me to suck it up and get my ass in gear. (he was a little more sympathetic than that, but not much) 
And he’s right, of course, I just don’t want to hear it. bleh. But I really appreciate him taking the time to listen to me spew. That’s the sign of a REAL friend.
Tomorrow night my very good friend Dan (i’ve known him since I was 16) – www.heydan.com – is taking me to dinner at St. Pete’s Flying Marlin. YUM. I can’t wait. They have absolutely DIVINE cheesecake. It will be nice to aspend some time with him, it’s been ages and ages since I’ve seen him. It’s a long story how we met, but it was at the Ft. Worth Zoo. heehee. When I have more time I’ll expound on that.
This weekend seems to be shaping up nicely – Phil will be here and it looks like Jeff (Twist 1) may come visit too. I really hope we get to hang out – I didn’t have a chance to chat much with him last time I was in Austin. So hopefully the weekend will be filled with good music, old friends and lots of carousing!
Work sucks, looks like I’ll be here late today. Repeat after me: I am PART TIME. You do not pay me to work FULL TIME. ;P oh well, I need the money. And I really do enjoy the satisfaction of knowing a project has been completed. So back to work.
