Tempest in a Teapot

Yesterday was my day off and it was great – I got a one hour massage and then a pedicure! Thank goodness for my wellness reimbursement at work. I stayed home last night ’cause Thursday night was a long night – and a little stressful. But I got through Merrick by Anne Rice while camped out on the couch last night. It is a better effort than her last couple of books. It brought back the original characters (plus one) and was set again in New Orleans. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

My massage was at the massage school over by my parent’s house and I ran into an old friend from college. Very weird. I couldn’t remember her name – it’s Amy – and I felt bad, but hey, it’s been two years since I had seen her (maybe 3) and it was in a setting that I was unfamiliar with. But my massage was very relaxing. I’ve been so tense! And of course my idea of heaven is a pedicure…

Anyhow tonight is Collin’s bday party at Casbah. I’m probably going, but haven’t decided for sure. I have such a headache and just feel so listless. I think it must be the heat. I’m sure I’ll feel better if I get out tho’ instead of moping around here all day. I just don’t feel particularly sociable – or at least not a loud clu b kind of sociable. maybe I just need a swift kick in the ass. lol.
