update
So…
Not much going on here in the new year – we did finally order our new car last week, and it should arrive by the end of next month. Which is good because J’s beast is on its last legs. Cross your fingers that it limps along until the new car arrives.
Sophie continues to improve. She actually barked at the mailman this week, so you know she’s back to her cranky self. I’m so pleased. I did manage to give her the first bath she’s had since the surgery yesterday. She was most unhappy with the whole process, but she does smell marginally better now. She’s certainly fluffy! I don’t want to take her to the groomers until her leg is a little stronger.
I shopped at the market yesterday and enjoyed it so much – I am really going to miss the fresh vegetables, fruit, cheese, etc. once we go back to the states. Not to mention the inexpensive flowers! The first tulips are out, so I have a few white ones on the dining room table. I didn’t make it to Keukenhof gardens last year, so this year it is a MUST see.
Otherwise, I’ve just been working at the library, working on my scrapbooks, and struggling with the American Women of GK budget. Who knew being treasurer would be such a pain?! SIGH.
