2006, part 2.
The second half of 2006 zipped by almost as fast as the first half. July found us visiting Dinant, Belgium. We took a lovely boat ride down the Meuse and visited the Chateau Freyr.
In September, we headed off for a week on the Costa del Sol with the Lucci Parents. It was a week of sun, sand & surf! It felt wonderful to just bake in the sun. We did also make it to Gibraltar and saw the monkeys.

October we spent a week with the Morris Parents in Paris. This time around we made it out to Versailles, Giverny and Chartes. I loved seeing all the flowers in Monet’s gardens at Giverny and also biking in the gardens of Versailles.

The Bastogne March takes place in December and found us hiking 7 km around the Belgian Ardennes commemorating the Battle of the Bulge.

And of course we had Christmas. Which I just wrote about. So, not bothering with that again.

[...] Time for my recap of our year. (2006 recap can be found here and here) I hadn’t realized it until I began work on this post, but I believe I managed to travel somewhere every single month in 2007. Not bad! This will be the last exciting recap, unfortunately, as we’re leaving Europe in the next few months. While I can’t wait to get back to the states, I expect my life will become dreadfully dull! [...]
