Birthday Blues.
So, my 32nd birthday has come and gone. I would like to be able to say that I am aging gracefully, but that would be an outright falsehood. No, the grey I found amongst my roots prompted much gnashing of teeth and a harried call to my hairdresser. She can get me in on Friday, thank the good Lord. No one but you, internet, will ever need know I have grey roots. The crows feet around my eyes, however, are unfortunately much more obvious. SIGH.

J gave me a lovely bunch of flowers for my birthday, plus the trip to Keukenhof & a nice dinner out this last weekend. Isn’t he sweet? He also contributed to my camera fund, as did all of my wonderful family. (Thanks, Lucci’s!) After 3 years, the time has come to consider a new camera.
Right now I find myself trying to decide between the Canon SD800 IS & the SD700 IS. The 800 has a wide angle lens and I’m worried about distortion after reading some comments over on cnet. The editors give them both the same rating, but the users seem to rate the 700 higher. The image stabilization feature is a must; I take tons of pictures in low lighting & generally dislike using my flash, so I think it will be worth the extra cost for me. My Canon S400 has been a trusty companion all over the world – quite literally: from Costa Rica on our honeymoon to Morocco last year, but all good things must come to an end. It is time for an upgrate! Any advice from you more knowledgeable photographers out there is welcome, of course.

Hi there! Well, I’m a Nikon fan (best lens quality), but it seems that there are other brands with better digital features, so it’s a trade-off, I guess. I’m looking at upgrading, too. I thought I just needed a new memory card till I realized I’d left the batteries in the camera and the acid had eaten through the darn thing! So annoying! Oh well, it was free to begin with. ; ) Right-o . . . not too much else going on, but I’ll try and write more to you soon! Much love!
