I want my MTV.
You may recall that I’ve previously written about the gosh-awful-but-strangely-compelling shows that make up MTV. The Flavor of Love has been replaced at my usual gym time by a show called “My Own”. Now, it’s subtitled into German and I can’t quite hear the sound, but it seems to me that the premise is that some guy has a crush on an idol (Jessica Simpson, in the most recent episode I viewed) and then is presented with 5 or so girls to pick his “own” version from. Again, SO like a train wreck – how could I stop watching as they coached the final 3 girls into performing a snippet of a Jessica Simpson video?? It was hilarious!
