Wow, where did the time go? The past week/weekend just zipped by. We just hosted Christine, CoffeeMike and their Jason Sunday night, and I was able to spend Monday with them. We just hung out and visited while they took a day to organize themselves and get caught up on things. We went to Cologne in the afternoon and visited the cathedral. Of course, I managed to forget my camera, but I’m pretty sure Christine took enough pictures to make up for it! It rained on us on the way to the cathedral but had cleared up for a nice evening. They are off on their grand tour of Germany, but will stay with us again for one night on the way back to Amsterdam. See ya’ll soon!
On Saturday, I went with some girlfriends to see the town of Kinderdijk, Holland. They have a bunch of preserved windmills there (much like what I saw in Zaanse Schans). We had a great day for it – I think we all ended up a little sunburned even! We were able to visit one of the mills as well as take a lovely boat ride down the canal. The windmills had all been there since at lest 1740.
