Tempest in a Teapot

With much fanfare, the “NEW” 7 wonders of the world have been announced. They were chosen by internet voting, so take them with a grain of salt: New 7 Wonders.

1. Pyramid at Chichen Itza (Mexico)
2. Christ Redeemer Statue (Rio de Janiero, Brazil)*
3. The Great Wall (China)
4. Machu Picchu (Peru)*
5. Petra (Jordan)
6. Roman Colosseum (Rome, Italy)*
7. Taj Mahal (India)

(Additionally, the Great Pyramid of Giza was given honorary status on this new list as it is the only remaining ancient wonder.)

* indicates wonders I’ve seen
