2007 recap, part 2.

July & August were only day-trips, I’m afraid, but very interesting nonetheless. July was all about windmills! I went to both Kinderdijk & Zaanse Schaans (with a quick stop at the Alkmaar cheese market). In August, I went down to St. Goar to see Rhienfels Castle followed by an evening of fireworks for the Rhine in Flames.

My favorite trip of the year came in September – Ireland! I loved the people, the country and the beer! We spent 10 days driving around the country with Mom & Dad Lucci. Highlights: Book of Kells in Dublin, whiskey tasting at Jameson’s and the tomb at Newgrange.

October was all about the girls! First, I spent a few days in Nove, shopping for pottery, followed by a wonderful day in Venice. I ADORE Venice. (one of my fave trips of our tour over here was J & I’s trip to Venice in Dec 2005.) The following week we spent on a Royal Caribbean Cruise in the Med. I particularly enjoyed Athens.

All we managed in November was a day trip to Waterloo, but it counts right? ;) Had a good time seeing where one of the most famous battles in history was fought.

December was of course our delightful trip home for Christmas. Were able to see all the Lucci Family in Arlington as well as the Morris parents down in College Station. Good times!

And that sums up 2007. Here’s hoping 2008 is even half as much fun!

Oh – and in July/August, you put up with us! Teehee! *grin* And got to visit Koln twice to take us there and pick us back up. Seriously? The time we spent at your house was like a mini-vacation in our vacation, it was great!

Just had to add that to your recap!
