Tempest in a Teapot

So, the movers are here. They are three very nice German men, who seem to think I am “very organized”. I am delighted my total freak out yesterday has paid off. I spent all of yesterday in a complete tizzy (just ask my mom who very patiently listened to me jabber on) but feel much better today. Really, there is nothing left I can do. These guys have to do all the work! I have coffee & sodas and we’ll get them lunch, so hopefully they’ll do a good job. *crosses fingers*

Sophie is a little concerned about all the chaos, but she’s really only annoyed because it’s keeping her from her morning nap. She considers it her job to patrol about making sure no one is eating anything. She already halfway climbed into one of the movers bags trying to get at his lunch before I caught her! Speaking of Sophie, I booked her on Pet Air yesterday. She’ll be going to Dallas at the end of the month to stay with her grandma & grandpa Lucci for a few weeks. It will be easier on everyone if we don’t have to drag her to the guesthouse & then to a hotel in Amsterdam, then thru the airport, etc etc.

Hard to believe that in 5 weeks we’ll be headed out to Seattle!! We’re looking to live somewhere between Seattle & Tacoma (where McChord AFB is located) and plan to rent. We don’t want the hassle of buying a house we’ll have to turn around and sell in 3 years! Real estate is pretty expensive in that area. If it was Oklahoma, we wouldn’t hesitate to buy, but up there, well, it just doesn’t seem feasible. Ok, back to “supervising” the movers.
