Settling In

At long last Sophie dog is back home! Mom & Dad Lucci came up over the weekend and brought her. I really appreciated the two months they were willing to keep her AND the delivery service. She’s in good health and is a great little traveler. She seems to like the new place and has settled into her routines pretty quickly – she likes the new couch in the loft best, I think. SO GLAD she’s home.

We’ve managed to wade thru a lot of the boxes over the few days that my folks were here. Dad was a big help to J – they installed a garage door opener, cleared enough space in the garage to park one of the cars and hung stuff. Mom helped me unload a lot of boxes and whip the kitchen into shape. This may be hard to believe, but I do have a couple of empty cabinets still! I figure our stuff will expand soon enough. We also worked on the bedroom – getting the closet usable. Moving is HARD WORK. I’m so glad we don’t have to do this again for a few years.

I’m so glad you’re all moved in and leave it to Sophie to find the newest piece of furniture to call her new napping place!!!

I’m betting the “one car” parked in the garage isn’t Martha?!?!
The new place looks FABULOUS, and I know it will be beautiful once completely done. And a great place to be a family.
