HOAs
I’m quite torn on our Home Owner’s Association. On one hand, they are a nice resource when you have neighbors who can’t be bothered to actually mow their lawn (yes, we have someone like that on our street), but on the other, they charge quite a bit each month and are a thorn in ones side when you want to do something to your own house! All we’re trying to do is put up a fence around our back yard and it is SUCH a pain. Argh…

We live in a condominium community, or apartments you own, and we have a home owners association. The fee is high but they take care of the yard work and deal with our garbage. Not to bad, but the libertarian in me loathes the idea that I can do what I like with the outside of a place I own. I say “Anarchy in the Suburbie”. heh. Good luck with the fence.
