2 months.
So, Madeline was 2 months old on the 15th. (I’m running a little behind) I can’t believe how big she’s gotten! We had her 2 months check up this past Monday and she weighed 12.5 pounds already. That’s in the 84% for weight or something crazy like that. I worried we were overfeeding her, but the doctor says she’s fine – somewhere around 6 months, her length and weight will catch up to each other and she’ll even out. She’s 22.75 inches long right now, for those keeping score.
She also had to get her first set of vaccinations at this last visit. Madeline really wasn’t too happy about that, and of course, I wasn’t either. It’s hard to see her in pain. But she did great – she was pretty fussy the rest of the day, but slept fairly well overnight & was her usual self again in the morning.
I’m so excited Thanksgiving is next week – Mom & Dad will be here with Mia dog in tow, so I’m sure it will be chaos. Poor Sophie! Actually, Sophie’s probably going to sleep through all of it. 
Speaking of the Soph: I’m a little worried about her – I think she’s losing weight. She feels so skinny when I pet her now. It’s a worry, but I know at her age…well, a lot of dogs don’t make it this long. This month marks 12 years she & I have been together. 12 years! Wow, the time has really flown. She’s been a good dog & I feel lucky we found each other all those years ago at the pound in College Station.
