Tempest in a Teapot

I’m a little behind on stuff…

.Happy Birthday to my fabulous sister, Kristen! I’d tease you about being another year older, kiddo, but you’d probably just turn around and rub it in that I’ll ALWAYS be 5 years older than you. *sigh* Enjoy your weekend in Paris!!

.Wow, what an election! I’m not ashamed to admit I cried during Obama’s acceptance speech. We live in exciting times – I know things aren’t going to change overnight and we have a long road ahead…but we’ve made a start. Like many others, I am so proud of our country. (And I can’t wait to see what kind of dog Malia & Sasha get.)

.My mom came out last Thursday and stayed over until Tuesday. I’ve been struggling a little bit feeling confident as a mom – just little things like even getting out to the store with the baby, keeping my house clean, etc etc. It was great to have her here – Madeline is much more interesting now compared to when mom saw her last – and I think they enjoyed each other. Madeline is definitely developing a personality. A STRONG personality. We’re going to have a firecracker on our hands, I’m afraid.
