Tempest in a Teapot

Last Friday, we went with Kimberly & Ashlyn to pick out new shoes – check out the cute new Stride Rites!  Since it did nothing but rain all weekend, Madeline also got to break in her new rain coat. 

Sorry about the crazy eyes, she gets excited when we’re about to go anywhere.  

So what else is going on?  Hmn…Mom & Dad are coming for a visit this weekend to celebrate Madeline’s 1st birthday & to help me with a few things I’d like to get done around the house – painting the bedroom is a big one to get done before J gets home…

…and OMG am I so excited he’ll be home soon.  I woke up on September 1st and my FIRST THOUGHT was “my husband comes home this month.”  I almost cried.  Being a single mom these past 7 months has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.  Ever.  (Grad school was a breeze compared to this!)  Anyhow, with a little luck, J should be home around the 25th.  No exact date yet, so it could change, but I’m just SO glad we’re on the tail end of his deployment.  I am very very proud of him, but selfish enough to want him back now, thanks.
