2010 Recap, Part 1
Wednesday, January 12th, 2011Another year gone…2010 was a difficult year for lots of people, but it really was a year of blessings for us. The best part for me was seeing how much Madeline grew & changed. I love being her mom! It’s challenging, infuriating and infinitely rewarding all at the same time. Being a stay at home mom is by far the best job I’ve ever had. Also the most demanding.
January, February & March
Slow start to the year. My parents came out for a quick visit in January – Madeline was so little, wasn’t she?! We did our regular activites – Little Gym, playdates with friends & playgroup at the hospital. J was completely swamped trying to finish his master’s degree – he took three classes this semester! Between classes & traveling for work, he was really really busy.

April
J & I celebrated 6 years of wedded bliss together. He is a wonderful man & a great father to Madeline. I look forward to all the many years we have ahead of us.
Let’s see – Easter came & went…we took a day trip to see the tulips in La Conner, Wa…and finished up the month by celebrating my birthday with a weekend in Portland (with a visit down to Eugene to see J’s Aunt & Uncle). We also took Madeline to the Seattle Aquarium. I think that was her first visit. She loved it!
May
We took a nice day trip to Dash Point State park for Mother’s Day, got rid of Madeline’s mullet with her first hair cut & spent Memorial Day weekend wet & cold on Whidbey Island.
June
After a miserable cold spring and summer, it was wonderful to cash in some miles and head to Texas for some sunshine! J was in OKC, so he was able to come meet up with us at my parents house. We had a great time! Let me leave you with my favorite picture from that trip:
