Tempest in a Teapot

August brought Seafair weekend & the Blue Angels to town. Since military get in to the event free, we decided it was worth braving the crowds. (The crowds ended up not being bad at all – perhaps because it was so rainy & wet!) J & I really enjoyed the show – and even Madeline didn’t mind the loud planes once we bribed her with an ice cream, hee! The Blue Angels put on a great show over Lake Washington…we felt like we had front row seats on the shore.

We also made it down to the Waterfront on the last day of Fleet Week and got a tour of one of the ships. (can’t remember which one now) The tour was fascinating, if a bit hard on the knees with all the steep stairs/ladders we had to climb! Very proud of our Navy & the work they do.
