Tempest in a Teapot

It’s true! Madeline took her first steps Thursday afternoon…a few more on Friday…then Saturday night got SO annoyed with me she stood up & walked halfway across the kitchen! It was quite a surprise.

J even got to see her take a few steps on skype on Friday, which was the one thing I wanted more than ANYTHING.

In other news: I had a decorator out this week, too – she helped me pick out some colors for my oh-so-blah walls and turned me on to this wonderful Northwest paint, Devine Color. (warning – their website is terrible) I love the colors and the richness of the paint! The plan is to have the downstairs painted Sumatra & our bedroom Date. Also, I’ve finally bought the fabric to recover the dining room chairs (60% off at JoAnn this weekend) and bought a little extra to have a pillow or two to match. So FINALLY I am starting to do something with the house, yay! It’s only taken 1.5 years of living here…
