Update
Friday, February 1st, 2008I started a draft a few days ago, but got distracted by everything that’s going on…let me just say that moving is HARD.
J & I find ourselves fighting about stupid stuff – it’s almost always ME, but he’s too nice to say so. This move needs to hurry up and be over already! I am SO mature I even called him a ‘big jerk’ yesterday, which is a BIG NO NO in our relationship – we never call names when we fight. I felt terrible immediately and am actually quite ashamed of myself. Luckily for me, J is a very forgiving person and accepted my apology. I’m sure there are still some hurt feelings, so I need to work hard to prove to him that I really am sorry. (If publically posting about what an idiot I am doesn’t show that, I don’t know what will.)
So here is what’s going on with us: First (and most important!), Sophie made the trip to DFW just fine and has settled comfortably into Lucci House. It was a long, hard trip, but Mom & Dad are spoiling her rotten and she’s even warming up to Mia a little bit. I expect she won’t want to leave her posh life and come join us in Seattle anytime soon.
Second, we are officially moved out! We turned in the keys, got all our forms signed and are outta there. I spent alot of Tuesday & Wednesday cleaning and am so glad its all done. It was sad to leave our first real home together, but definitely time. I was getting so tired of living without our stuff. We’re now in a guest house for a few days and leave out next week. I’m SO READY.
Next Stop: Seattle!
