Erica & Chris Visit

Monday, July 26th, 2010

One of the worst things about military life is that with moving so often that you are usually no where near family! So I was very glad Erica & Chris decided to come for a visit this summer. We had a great time with them & Madeline really enjoyed getting to know her Aunt & Uncle!! J & I also had a good time doing some touristy type things around the area.

We Rode the Ducks, grabbed lunch at the Bite of Seattle, visited the Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum and wrapped the day up with a visit to the big REI store. *whew* Madeline’s favorite part was definitely Riding the Ducks. or as she called it, “Ride Quack”.

We spent all day Saturday at the McChord Air Expo. We knew there was construction & that traffic would be heavy, so J found us a back way that took us in a back gate and we were there in no time. I loved seeing all the different planes – but Madeline was nervous of some of the loud noises. Note to self: bring ear protection for her next time!! I think the highlight of the show for me was getting to see the B2 bomber pass overhead. It was extremely exciting. :)

But the best part of the visit was seeing how much fun Madeline had with Erica & Chris. She was truly sad that they left & has talked about Aunt Erica almost every day since! Hope they can visit again soon – or we can go visit them, too.
